Chaat is something that we, the Jaipurites can munch on, no matter, what time of the day it is. Gone are those times when people used to say that “only girls love chaat.” It is now relished by each and every person irrespective of their age or gender. It becomes more fun when the love for chaat paves way for a Golgappa competition!
The crisp golgappas, spicy bhelpuri & sevpuri, the amazing golden brown tawa cooked tikki paired the oh-so-yum khatti-meethi chutney and masala chole are a hit amongst the locals. The heavenly feeling of eating chaat at your favourite stall is the perfect stress buster. Here are 5 best chaatwalas in Jaipur that top my list:

All those who have spent their childhood in Raja Park or in the nearby areas know the specialty of this place when it comes to chaat. A restaurant based on the Haldiram’s concept and known to be famous for being the first chaatwala to serve amazingly scrumptious raj kachori. Other specialties are pani patashi, dahi-gunjiya, aloo tikki, and chola bhatura.

Well, all the Jaipurites have either been to the ever so famous LMB either once in their life. But most of you won’t have heard about Sharma Chaat Bhandar in the lane opposite to LMB. So, next time if you visit the old city you know where to go, to satisfy those hunger pangs, after shopping. A tip from my side would be to visit here before 8 pm as his stock clears out pretty fast. (Yeah! that’s how yummy the preparations are.)

The oldest, best and the most famous gol gappa shop in Raja Park. It is known to be serving the Jaipurites for the past 30 plus years. If this chaatwala’s special golgappa’s can make a non-golgappa lover like me to binge on it then it is surely a heaven. The extraordinary thing about the gol gappas is that it is made of dal which is only served in the Pink City.
