Art, Photography and Movies: Kalaneri’s Heritage Week is Here!

Did you know that UNESCO has declared 6 forts of Rajasthan as world heritage sites? Amazing isn’t it. The heritage of Rajasthan is so well recognised everywhere and has so much to explore. Picking up from that idea, the Kalaneri Art Gallery in Jaipur is hosting the heritage week where you get explore the “Land of Kings” through art, photographs, and movies.

If photography and documentary film making has always been a passion for you, it’s a great opportunity to meet and interact with some of the top professionals. A great way to get insights on an alternate career, isn’t it?

The Heritage Week runs from 19th to 24th April at Kalaneri Art Gallery at JLN Marg. Here’s why this event has got the art enthusiasts inside us excited.

Kalaneri, one of the most pioneering contemporary art gallery of Jaipur along with Anurag Sharma (3 time International Film Festival Award winner), aim to offer a platform for all the art enthusiasts and photographers to experience the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

Anurag Sharma is a multifaceted personality. He is a photographer, filmmaker, and artist who has won numerous awards for his efforts bringing Rajasthan’s Culture and Heritage to the world.

Join him in his talk  Meri Jaan Rajasthan – An Anurag Sharma Show as he makes you explore Rajasthan through some beautiful aerial shots. A fabulous learning opportunity for aspiring filmmakers and photographers to get a peek inside a genius’ mind.

Heritage Movie Shows

Catch some amazing documentaries on Rajasthan at the open-air theater by Kasturi, Kalaneri and Sukhnidhey films. Extensively researched and wonderfully shot, these documentaries are a treat to watch.

Interactive Sessions

The conservation of heritage is usually considered as a boring topic for the young generation. The interactive sessions at live demos will aware young generation towards the importance of heritage. The discussion will be between the filmmakers and the students to make the heritage conservation process more interesting and productive.

Starting from 17th April until 12th May, these demonstrations will impart valuable insights to Jaipur’s budding art enthusiasts.
