They say, the early period of marriage is the golden one. However, Sony LIV’s all new web series ‘Married Woman Diaries’ has a different story to tell.
Directed by Kabir Sadanand, this unusual and entertaining web-series looks at the issues of a newly-married urban couple through the perspective of the female partner.
With a dash of humor, the series talks up relevant struggles of a married woman.
What’s the Plot?
Married Woman Diaries shows a humorous take on the life of Shweta and Rishi. After almost two years of marriage, Shweta uses bits and pieces of her married life in her stand-up comedy shows.
In a tongue-in-cheek manner, she shares how her husband has changed after marriage. Although, the couple seems to be madly in love, yet the changing dynamics of their relationships are palpable.
Spanning 10 episodes, with each episode lasting 12-15 minutes, Married Woman Diaries is a great option to binge on.
Ex-Roadie Suzanne Mukherjee plays Shweta, the wife and a stand-up comedian. Abhishek Rawat plays the husband Rishi, a senior-manager at an ad-agency.
Shweta walks you through her everyday married life in a spectacularly funny way.
What the USP?
Full of wit and humor, every episode of Married Woman Diaries tackles a different issue or disagreement the couple has to deal with on every day basis.
Most of all, if cliched melodramatic shows bore you, this unconventional and humorous web series is worth a watch.
