The Artistic Henna
Applying mehndi or henna on hands is a customary act for the occasion of Teej. It’s just wonderful to see girls and women getting their body adorned with beautiful mehndi patterns and tattoos.
Ghevar traces its roots in Jaipur and is already marked as ‘Teej Special’.
No matter you love to enjoy desserts or not, it is impossible to say no to this delicacy of Jaipur. Garnished with dry fruits and cream, this sugar soaked Ghevar can make anyone go crazy. One can try many varieties of Ghevar, including, Plain, Mawa and Malai Ghevar.
A procession of the beautifully embellished idol of Teej (Goddess Parvati) moving across the traditional markets of Jaipur makes this festival more special. How wonderful it is to see the procession of Teej goddess followed by horses, elephants, and folks.
